Jessica joined First Nations Legal and Research Services in February 2026. Prior to this, she was a senior lawyer at the Northern Land Council (NLC) in the Northern Territory and acting Legal Practice Manager of the Land Claims team at the NLC. 

During her time at the NLC, Jessica had carriage of native title claim litigation in the Federal Court and represented native title holders in proceedings in the National Native Title Tribunal. Jessica also negotiated agreements for resources and energy projects and advised Traditional Owners on land rights matters including sacred site and cultural heritage protection,  joint management of national parks and the Indigenous Rangers Program. 

Jessica grew up in Victoria and has previously worked as a legal adviser and legal policy officer for the Victorian government.
